For the Love of Competition

We are an elite tennis academy based in Hong Kong, dedicated to introducing and educating the modern game of tennis to all levels, from the players starting to learn to top ranked players in Hong Kong and around the region.

MTA aims to create opportunities for players anywhere from the age of 7 to 18 years of age as well players in their adult years. The Academy’s specialized programs are a set of careful crafted balance of technical, tactical, mental and physical training in all facets of the game. The top coaching staff at MTA is dedicated to the instruction, development and success of each student, bringing and harnessing each individual's greatest potential in the game of tennis.

Coleman Wong

​Born on June 6, 2004, Coleman reached his career singles high in the ITF Junior rankings of #144 in October of this year at only 15 years of age making him the highest ranked player born in 2004 to appear on the ITF Junior world rankings. Coleman started his still very young career at age 5 when his older sister was too sick for her tennis lesson. It was too late to cancel so Coleman jumped into her place and fell in love with them game. Some years later, he met his coach Ka Po Tong, a former professional player herself, that has been coaching him ever since successfully. Coleman convinces with a powerful game, aggressive ground strokes, massive serve and his fearlessness to go after every shot, no matter the position in the court will help him to win major titles in the future. Coleman is truly seen as ‘the next generation’.

  • ITF Junior J4 Runner Up in Kaohsiung (2018)

  • Longines Future Aces U13 Runner Up (2017)

  • Broke HK record in winning the Division B Men’s Singles Open at 12 years of age

  • Winner of U8, U9 and U10 championships at age 8
